Mrs. Zara Rhoden Fowler

FORT MEADE - Mrs. Zara Catherine Fowler, 81, passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 in Bartow, FL. Mrs. Fowler was born April 13, 1939 to her parents, Lee and Effie Jones Rhoden, and was a native and lifelong resident of Fort Meade. She was a homemaker, a member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church, and loved to fish whenever she could. She was a very loving person, and touched many lives with her sweet nature and kindness she showed to everyone.

Mrs. Fowler was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Homer Fowler; son, Homer Lee Fowler; daughter, Catherine Fowler; brothers, Lenard Rhoden, Rev. Carroll Rhoden, Hugh Rhoden, Richard Rhoden; sisters, Irene Radford, and Louise Radford.

She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Irwin Pierce and husband James; sisters, Ileana Dawes, Ruby Lemcke, Frances Anderson; grandchildren, Justin Irwin and wife Megan, and Victor Irwin and wife Linda; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 11a.m., Thursday, August 13, 2020 in the Lake Buffum Baptist Church Cemetery, Fort Meade,FL.
